I’m reminded.

The Hill Country, Texas, usA.

Cold and rainy, in an English kinda way. Perfect weather for a Scotsman anyway.

Up at 8:00. I stayed up until 2:00 working on this website and on syllabi. Syllabi still in progress. I had some sci-fi dream going when I woke up, with little critters and their progeny that would regenerate immediately after being “put down” with a stun gun. Sorta like old habits. Old habits never die, they just retire.

The a.m. I spend on preparing for classes and the beginning of my semester, with a slight piddling about with the website to protect my advances.

My first class at 12:30. This class seems to have a good synergy with me, at least it began on solid ground.

The afternoon: I repair my harddrive that (once again, why do I trust these?) got trashed by a test generating software. In between pushing buttons to give consent, I prepared for the graduate class and did some other moving around. I had an office visit from colleagues. On the other hand, I felt a bit isolated. One student chose to give me the silent treatment, even though I made eye contact. And I felt saddened: one of my colleagues-in-arms’ wife has had her cancer spread to her lung now, bad news. Life is very very short, I’m reminded.

5:00p. Teaching, until 6:15p.

7:00p. Home (usually I’ll have office hour after class, but not this day) .

8:00p. Posting this. And now, some guitar! And who is home: The Wife! Yayy!

rotation of the limbs was very good. The sitting was different, in a good way.

Listening to the Velvet Underground with Nico: the individual band members’ pictures are very interesting to look at.

Midnight. Guitar practice and then practice with the Repeater, posted on logicallysound.com.
