What a week

So things have moving that I for got to acknowledge a few important things. The death of Walter Cronkite – My first big memory was when we were sent home from school because President Kennedy was shot. I remember Walter reporting the official news of The President’s death and seeing him get chocked up on live TV. His was the news we always watched.

The 40th Anniversary of the moon landing. A friend sent some amazing pictures:

An of course the death of Frank McCourt. I have not read Angela’s Ashes but I have heard many interviews with him and they were all riveting.

So other things during the week. When we tried to record with YGT last week something went wrong. All the files got saved on my hard drive but all the audio got saved on Alan’s laptop. This has been frustration. I decide I’m going to start selling old audio equipment to buy a new computer. So I do sell some stuff and others are pending. Still have not sold the computer. But Apple was running a special to pay off the computer in one year. So I called them.  They asked if I wanted an educational discount. I said yes. So I got one.  In the end I got a discount on the computer a free I pod Touch and free Printer!  The computer is on back order and I’ll get it in August.

Then something unfortunate happened on Wed. I dropped my I phone. This caused the bottom four icons to not work which makes the phone useless.   On Friday Morning I had a personal sesssion and then went to Bronxville for an hour. After that I went to visit my cousin. It was good to have someone else to talk to.  We had lunch, good conversation. I was there for two hours and then drove to the Westchester Mall.  Back to the Apple Store to buy a  3GS.  I got a deal to pay it off in ninety days.

Now we get to today.  I wake up early to drop off the rental car and pick up my Audi at another repair shop. These guys specialize in Audi and Volkswagen. My car seems to be running great.  Now lets hope the check engine light stays off.

I decided I wanted to check out the rim on on the van and see about having the tire replaced. So I have to call AAA because the van is dead. He shows up starts the vehicle and says let it run for twenty minutes – which I thought I did. So I shut down the van and it’s dead again. In the mean time I jack up the van and suddenly the van moves forward hitting the floor and bending the scissor Lift. So I call AAA again and go to Sears to buy a new lift. They were having a sale on hydraulic lifts which are much stronger and safer.  When I returned the AAA guy was already there. The van was running and he had put the donut tire on. I put the other tire in my car and went over to Mavis Tire to see if the rim had any damage. It did not so they put a new tire on. The van ran for an hour. I got back home to check again cause maybe we need a new battery. The van starts right up. I am pleased. I put the new tire on. The van was disgustingly dirty so I took it to get washed. After this I put some gas in and went over to Best Buy to look at I phone cases. Most of these cases run $35.00 which seems ridiculous to me.  Then I find this really nice case – It’s $14.95 I really liked the color and it had the flip off bottom which I need. I deceided to open the box and take it out to make sure it was not a piece of junk. It was not – very well made. I’m buying this one. I get to the register and it’s on sale for $9.95 Very cool indeed.

I get home and call AT&T and they help me set up my voice mail and my email – I’m a happy camper.

I’m thinking of going to see Public Enemies again tonight because I fell asleep on half of it last time.
