In the morning – go with Lizzie to the airport

In the afternoon – at work

In the evening – tidy up and cook Lazanki for dinner with Mark.

So it’s the last posting of this one year commitment. Take some time to sit and acknowledge what happened over the last year. A lot to be thankful for… I’m going to continue with private journals now and see how it’s going.

The Winter Project is coming up, this thought kept coming back all the evening …

Early rise, sitting, then join my sister.

Good news is that she finally manages to start her car (with Mark’s help) and she makes her way back to Leeds. It was very good to see her …

We have the rest of the day for ourselves with Elizabeth. It’s a day out: zoo, indian restaurant, pub, then cinema – I’m not there a new movie about Dylan. Most wonderful time and a lot of fun for Mr.Serious

I left the radio on in Ania’s car yesterday and the battery is flat ! Due to many further problems she has to stay here one more day.

It’s a day off.

Rise, morning exercises.

Just before departing to Gatwick we find out that the tyre in Ania’s car is flat ! Fortunately Mark is still here and is available to help us out, a good response.

Then we go to the airport to collect Lizzie from the airport.

A day with closed ones.

Early rise, morning exercises and off I go into a very cold morning. Very tired at work today, definitely need a break.

After work meet my sister in the city centre. She just came from Leeds by car. Having been at work last night (she cares for elderly at residential home) and not sleeping she’s done a great job of coming here such a long distance. Fortunately it wasn’t snowing as predicted and she arrived safely. Wonderful to see my smiling sister, we eat, chat for a while, then finally she goes to bed after some encouragement. We’ll be rested and have plenty of time tomorrow.

In the meantime see to some practicalities and also rest…

At the moment Elizabeth should be approaching Toronto airport to get her plane to Gatwick and we’re going to pick her up with Ania tomorrow. Hooray ! Exciting few days are ahead …

Late morning, then off to work for 9-17 shift. An honourable job, at last I know what I am paid for again …

Back in the flat, have dinner, then rest, I’m exhausted and immediately fall asleep. I’ve been working on 9 over last 10 days. It may not seem a lot, but in present circumstances and with current client it’s quite a burden. Anyway, no complaint, tomorrow is a last shift then I’ll see my lovely sister coming from Leeds with visit.

Although I went to bed at very reasonable time (just after 1 a.m.) it was very difficult to rise this morning. Very tired at work, but the day brought some small gifts, namely seeing few things I have to do.

Back in the flat and have some quiet time on my own. Sitting, Chi Kung, cook the dinner. Refrain from using computer, using it only when needed, what a relief ! Can see lot of possible work in improving my relationship with the machine. Moderation, what a wonderful word it is.

After dinner lie down and relax, thinking about some friends and family and sending my best to them. This makes me more and more sleepy and I don’t resist it …

A smooth morning, the same routine, but so much different every day.

Out to work, it’s cold and windy. 8 hours go very quickly today. It’s raining on and off…

Back in the flat, emails, call my dad, then have pizza for dinner.

Watch another episode from Palin’s documentary. This time he is traveling in Bulgaria and Turkey.

AT work, play guitar and ear training. Enjoy playing today, paying more attention to a good tone.

More phonecalls – speak with my mum and sister.

Time to hit the bed, evening exercises and tucked under duvet before 23 o’clock. This is pretty good …

Got good news from Tychy that the documents I needed for registering as a teacher here arrived. Cannot tell whether this will be a good position for me, but at least I will give it a go. As planned I also go to the office to hand in my notice. I’m going to end this employment in as positive as possible way.

Evening at work.

Another day at work. After this rest, talk with a loved one and more rest.

12 days left to the end of my journal commitment. Begin reading all the postings beginning on 7 January 2007. Also write in my personal journals, where my main focus currently is.
